Course Change Requests
Master schedules are based on student course requests in the spring of the previous school year. Schedule changes are limited due to space available in the master schedule.
Elective Schedule Changes
To be considered for an elective schedule change for the academic year, requests must be made within the first 5 days of instruction of the fall semester (by August 13th).
Elective changes are granted ONLY IF an alternate elective was used, and you would like to request a different alternate elective. If you are scheduled into the elective(s) you requested during course selection, your request will not be able to be fulfilled. If you are unsure if an alternate was used, you can fill out the form, and a counselor will be in touch with you.
Please remember, by asking for this change, your child's schedule may change periods, teachers and/or lunch. Asking for specific teachers, periods or lunch will not be granted.
Level Schedule Changes
If a student wishes to drop from Advanced to on-level coursework, the parent must officially request the
change by filling out a level change form. The form will be emailed and available in September to fill out. Level changes will take place at the end of the 1st 6 weeks mark or for the second semester
. These are the only two times a student can request to move to on-level during the school year.
For students wishing to move from an on-level to an Advanced course in English, science, and/or history only, the parent must officially request the
change by filling out a level change form. The form will be emailed and available in September to fill out. Level changes will take place at the end of the 1st 6 weeks mark or for the second semester. These are the only two times a student can request to move to an advanced course during the school year.
