IB Student discusses her Theory of Knowledge hypothesis

International Baccalaureate students at Allen High School recently hosted a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) exhibition, showcasing their understanding of complex ideas and the ways knowledge is developed.

TOK is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme, requiring students to explore familiar topics and present their findings through selected objects and explanations. The event provided students with an opportunity to engage peers, teachers, and visitors in discussions about how knowledge is acquired and explanations of the results.

As part of the TOK requirement, students reflect on how they know what they claim to know and question their assumptions about the topic. Each student’s exhibition was intended to expand on their ideas and demonstrate critical thinking. The students also wrote an in-depth essay about their interests and how it was related to their personal experiences.

The exhibition also highlighted how the AHS IB program emphasizes skills such as analysis and communication. Congratulations on the great work!
