Allen High School students Maxwell Hull and Sutton Tippet recently competed in a Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament at Lake Texoma, finishing in the top 8 percent of participants.
The THSBA tournament drew student anglers from across the region, providing both competitive and scholarship opportunities. The Allen team’s showing at Lake Texoma continues a tradition of participation in scholastic fishing events that emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork.
Hull shared his personal experience with the program.
"I have enjoyed fishing so much and never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did," said Maxwell Hull, student angler. “I love that we can get the opportunity to fish for our school and even get scholarships for it."
