AHS students with Watters Creek representatives

Allen High School students are bringing a touch of springtime magic to Watters Creek, teaming up with the shopping center to design and create this year’s Easter Bunny photo booth.

The Career and Technology interior and graphics design students held a “pitch” meeting with shopping center representatives to discuss plans for a festive space where families can have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny.

The students prepared a presentation and a walkthrough simulation of their plans.

The Interior Design II students are Andrea Botello, Isabella Curtis, Trinity Ellison, Keyla Fuentes Graham, Sophia Payani, Grace Schmitz, and Samuel Wong, with the help of Graphic Design students Kylia Kang and Yousif Shihab.

AHS student and presenter Trinity Ellison was pleased with the demonstration.

“Overall, I feel it went smoothly. There are things we have to fix, things we have to do, but we have them listed out,” Trinity said. “And we're very grateful for what we are doing with these people and their business. It’s very nice to do some real-world work.”

The students have their work cut out for them over the course of the next three weeks to prepare the booth for its debut. Their presentation included their plans for a prep space, the photo booth, a flower wall upon exiting, and other features designed for a unique experience.
