VEX Robotics '24-'25 Season Finalists to be posted soon .

Thank you to all that have expressed interest in participating in next year's VEX Robotics Club. Interviews have been completed and finalists are being selected from the candidate list. Unfortunately, not all applicants will be able to participate due to space limitations, size of teams, and number of robots available. BUT, there may be an opportunity for a call-back in the fall incase members chosen are not able to participate once the school year begins due to changes in their schedules or availability. IF that is the case, individual students will be informed of an opening and given the opportunity to join at that time.

Again, thank you for your time and intereset in VEX Robotics Club at Ereckson Middle School....Go Huskies!

BEST Robotics vs VEX Robotics

BEST and VEX Robotics clubs are two different after-school programs that Ereckson Middle School offers students willing to learn and challenge themselves by working with student groups to accomplish a task or challenge.

BEST Robotics can support up to 30-40 students, while VEX Robotics can support up to 24 students.

BEST Robotics uses a VEX Cortex Processor which is also used in part by the VEX Robotics club.

BEST Robotics' season lasts from September through November (and possibly December).

VEX Robotics' season starts in April of 2024 and lasts until April of 2025.

***This year, ALL 7 teams qualified for STATE. In addtion, 5 of our teams qualified for WORLDS Championship. This was our school's first VEX Robotics World Championship experience and was incredible and memorable. Next season will probably run through May 2025.

BEST Robotics uses common everyday materials from Home Depot or Lowe's to construct their robot.

VEX Robotics uses two types of platforms in their club.  VEX VRC uses metal components that need to be cut and custom fitted, while VEX IQ uses pre-fabricated plastic pieces that snap together.

BEST does not require a fee to participate but does have student participant limits determined by the available club committees.

VEX Robotics collects a $60 fee for parts, equipment, event fees, and other supplies that can only be purchased through VEXROBOTICS.COM and ROBOTEVENTS.COM.
