Graduation Inclement Weather Plan

Allen HS Alert: The Graduation Ceremony will be delayed until 8:30 p.m. This should allow time for the current storm cell to move through the area. Stadium gates will open at 7:30. Students will remain inside the AHS campus until it is safe to move to the Stadium.

The 2024 Allen High School Graduation Ceremony will be delayed until at least 8:00 p.m. Gates are now scheduled to open at 7:00. Please shelter in your vehicle until the gates are open. More info will be shared as we continue to monitor the weather. Students should continue to arrive at Allen High School for staging purposes, however, they will remain inside the campus until there is a safe weather window.

Happy last day of school! Allen High School is still planning to host tonight's graduation ceremony at 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Stadium, but school officials will continue to monitor the weather conditions. All graduating seniors should still report to Allen High School at 5:30 p.m. today. Should any weather delays occur, students will be held safely inside the campus until the weather provides a window in which to hold the ceremony.
The stadium's gates are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m., however, they will not be opened if the ceremony is delayed. The gates will be opened as soon possible based upon the current or forecasted weather conditions.
All decisions regarding the ceremony’s start time will prioritize the safety of graduating seniors, their families, and Allen High School staff.
Updates on the start time will be communicated directly to Class of 2024 parents and students through Skyward emails and text messages. Additional information will be posted on Allen ISD’s social media accounts and http://www.allenisd.org/graduation.

Posted on May 21, 2024: Allen High School is looking forward to celebrating the graduating Senior Class of 2024. The graduation ceremony is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Eagle Stadium.
Administrators will closely monitor weather conditions for any potential rain or thunderstorms. They will assess weather forecasts to ensure a safe 2.5-hour window for the ceremony to be held. If necessary, the start time may be delayed. If graduation cannot begin by 9:30 p.m., the ceremony will be rescheduled for Saturday, with 10 a.m. being the earliest possible start time.
