2026-2027 Allen ISD Academic Calendar Approved by Board
The Allen ISD Trustees approved the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar at the Oct. 27 Board meeting. The calendar was created through a collaborative process that included feedback from community members and staff via various committees and an online public survey.
Highlights of the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar include:
First Day of School: Thursday, August 13, 2026
Fall Break for Students: October 12-16, 2026
Thanksgiving Break: November 23-27, 2026
Winter Break for Students: December 21, 2026 - January 4, 2027
Spring Break: March 15-19, 2027
Last Day of School: Thursday, May 27, 2027
The first day of school is on a Thursday, based on recommendations and survey results to start school close to midweek.
One important item to note: the last day of school falls on Thursday, May 27, 2027, which follows feedback to end the academic year prior to Memorial Day. Allen High School’s graduation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2027 to allow greater flexibility for out-of-town families to travel to Allen for the festivities.
