Pam Meis, music teacher at Norton Elementary, has been awarded a $1,000 classroom grant through Whataburger’s WhataTeacher program in recognition of her outstanding contributions to student learning through the arts.
Known for her creativity and leadership, Meis directs the 4th and 5th grade Singing Knight Choir and recently brought Norton’s first-ever school musical, Annie Kids, to life. The production allowed students to perform on stage, work behind the scenes, and participate in something new and fun.
“Pam is going above and beyond for our students,” said Norton Principal Renee Nelson. “From leading the Singing Knight Choir to directing our very first school musical, she’s providing students with an unforgettable experience. Pam’s passion and dedication make her an invaluable part of our school community.”
The grant is part of Whataburger’s 75th anniversary celebration and its commitment to honoring educators who make a lasting impact. Seventy-five teachers nationwide received a $1,000 WhataTeacher grant this year, supporting classroom initiatives and student success.
Congratulations to Pam Meis on receiving this well-deserved recognition.
