Robotics Team

The Allen ISD FIRSTĀ® Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team recently earned second place at the UIL Robotics State Championship in Corpus Christi. Comprising students from Lowery Freshman Center and Allen High School, the team was led by sponsors Julie Kiel and Chris Brooks, with support from parent chaperone Mr. Clark.

FTC, one of three UIL robotics programs available to Allen ISD students, involves teams designing and programming classroom-scale robots for competition. Matches combine autonomous movements with student-driven controls, testing both technical precision and strategy.

The team includes mainly freshmen, with upperclassmen serving as mentors. Students participating from Lowery include Arnesh Jayaram, Aryan Padarthi, Ashray Shah, Cooper Bailey, Ethan Posso, Evan Wang, Heidi Jeong, Ivan Smith, Johnathan Luu, Kevin Ye, Noah Clark, Saraaga Madasu, Shyam Devanathan, and Michael Langford. Team members from Allen High School include Caleb Clark and Seoyoon Jeong.

Congratulations to the FTC team and their sponsors for their outstanding second-place finish at the state UIL competition.
