Allen ISD is proud to announce the selection of two new principals for the upcoming school year. Whitney Benton will serve as the Principal of Evans Elementary School, and Jenny Lanier will serve as the Principal of Vaughan Elementary School. We welcome these outstanding leaders to their new roles and the Allen ISD community.
Whitney Benton – Evans Elementary
Whitney Benton brings 23 years of educational experience to her role as Principal of Evans Elementary. Whitney currently serves as Assistant Principal at Kerr Elementary School. Her extensive leadership background includes roles as Principal in Anna ISD and Assistant Principal at Norton Elementary in Allen ISD.
Throughout her tenure in Allen ISD, Whitney has also served as a Campus Intervention Specialist, Library Media Specialist, and classroom teacher. Additionally, she has classroom teaching experience in Goose Creek ISD and Midland ISD.

Jenny Lanier – Vaughan Elementary
Jenny Lanier joins Allen ISD with 28 years of public education experience, including 16 years as an elementary principal. She currently serves as Principal at Richardson Heights Elementary School, a position she has held since 2009. Jenny has also served as Elementary Lead Principal for the Richardson Learning Community and as a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council.
Earlier in her career, Jenny was Assistant Principal at Richardson Terrace Elementary School and taught in Richardson ISD and Dallas ISD.
Jenny, a proud Allen resident, is actively involved in the local community. She participated in Allen ISD’s Project Kids community group in 2024 and has served on both the Chandler Elementary and Ford Middle School PTA Boards.
