Fourth grader Haochen Ye from Vaughan Elementary has earned two honors at the Texas State Fair Art Competition in the Fine Art – 8 to 9 Years category. Representing Allen, Haochen was awarded 2nd Place in the State Fair Theme category and an Honorable Mention in the Any Subject category.
Both pieces will be exhibited in the Art Building during the State Fair, showcasing his creativity to thousands of visitors from across the state.
This recognition follows his recent participation in the Allen ISD Board meeting award, where his artwork was also featured at school.
