Students cheer at Special Olympics Bowling

Elementary, middle, and high school students from Allen ISD recently competed in the Special Olympics Texas North Region Bowling Tournament. The two-day event brought together athletes from across the region, with elementary competitions on the first day and middle and high school events on the second.

Allen ISD athletes trained for six weeks at Allen Bowl in preparation for the tournament. With the support of Allen ISD Special Services, transportation, and the local Allen Special Olympics delegation, students had the opportunity to practice and compete at the highest level possible.

Student leaders from PALs, WINGS, and Best Buddies were also on-site, providing encouragement and helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for athletes from Allen ISD and other schools.

“I had so much fun watching our athletes compete, laugh, and smile! I love that we got to make new friends with students from other campuses and cheer for them,” said one PAL student.

Congratulations to all participating athletes and supporters on a successful and spirited showing at this year’s Special Olympics Texas North Region Bowling Tournament.
