Allen High School Theatre Students with Awards

Allen High School’s International Thespian Troupe 3105 recently attended the Texas Thespian Convention in Grapevine, where they joined more than 8,000 theatre students from across the state for a weekend of competition, workshops, and college auditions.

This year, Allen High School received a prestigious Mainstage Callback for the third year in a row. Senior Grace Heidenreich was selected for her solo musical performance of On My Own from Les Misérables. With over 800 competitors and only six performance slots available, a mainstage callback is one of the highest honors a student can earn at the convention.

“We are so proud of our Thespians,” said Theatre Director Leigh Ann Unkenholz. “They lovingly represented Allen High School with grace, dignity and a fierceness that only Allen can cultivate.”

Troupe 3105 also celebrated a first-place finish in the state for Team Audio Design with a project on Hamlet created by seniors Connor Sell and Jordan Sutton.
