AHS National Merit  Finalists with Principala Carrie Jackson, Assistant Principal Chris Koder and teacher Jose Salas

Twenty-five Allen High School students have been selected as National Merit Scholarship Finalists and were honored at a recent recognition breakfast attended by families and Allen ISD Trustees, staff, and administrators.

The AHS scholars were presented with certificates and medals to commemorate their outstanding achievements. The Finalists advanced from the group of AHS Semifinalists named in September 2025. All Finalists will now be considered for the 2026 National Merit Scholarship awards. From a national pool of more than 15,000 Finalists, 6,870 students will be selected as Merit Scholarship winners.

The breakfast, hosted by Jose Salas, the school’s advanced academics coordinator, was held in the commons area of the Performing Arts Center. Congratulations to these Allen High School students for advancing to Finalist standing in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship competition.
