Holden Killian stayed active at Allen High School as the eSports club president and captain of the Overwatch and Marvel Rivals teams. Participation in D&D, Phoenix Con, and the Allen Progressive Eagles provided a variety of social outlets. One favorite memory involves a German class where students shared music, tea, and board games. Another highlight was performing a skit with classmates during Phoenix Con, which built strong friendships.
Academic growth was a priority for Holden. After sophomore year, a focus on college preparation helped build independence and study habits. These experiences at Allen High School mirrored the responsibilities found in higher education. Holden balanced a busy schedule of extracurricular activities with a rigorous course load to ensure readiness for the next step.
Holden suggests that new students take academics seriously from the start. Every year of a GPA matters. However, Holden also notes the importance of balance. Spending time with friends and joining clubs is just as essential as earning high grades.
