Allen ISD Welcomes Educators New to Allen at New Teacher Breakfast

The district recently welcomed its newest educators at the annual New Teacher Breakfast. The event, held across two days at the Lowery Freshman Center, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter as incoming teachers from all grades gathered to get acquainted with their new community before the start of the school year.

Participants explored campuses, met district leaders and fellow teachers, and got a closer look at the programs that support students across the district. The event also gave teachers the opportunity to learn more about the district’s history, culture, and traditions, all while building relationships that will continue into the school year.

While the event served as an introduction to the district, it also provided a glimpse into the important work ahead. As classrooms are prepared and campuses come back to life, these teachers are already making plans for the year to come before the first bell rings.

One of those educators is James Rees, Allen High School’s new Director of Bands. Take a look at this video that captures his experience as he took his first steps as part of the Allen ISD community.
