Allen High School junior Rathan Bolar recently earned a silver medal while representing Team USA at the 2026 Junior Pan American Championship in San José, Costa Rica. Competing in the 16 to 17 age category, Rathan demonstrated world-class skill against top international athletes.
Rathan secured a spot on the U.S. team after finishing among the top two athletes in the nation at the 2026 USA National Championships in Spokane, Washington. This marks the fourth time Rathan has been selected to the USA National Team. Rathan has trained at the Academy of Classical Karate in Plano since age eight and has previously trained at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Rathan already holds bronze medals from previous Junior Pan American Championships in Chile and Brazil, along with three WKF Global Cup gold medals. Rathan will next represent Team USA at the 2026 World School Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Achievements like Rathan's highlight the extraordinary talent within Allen ISD and reflect the dedicated community support that helps student-athletes reach global heights.
