Allen ISD students pursue their interests far beyond the classroom, and for Lowery Freshman Center student Sophia Sadigova, that passion has taken her to the racetrack.
Sophia began racing karts at age 9 and quickly found success behind the wheel. By age 11, she had become a North Texas champion in the 60cc division and ranked among the top 10 regional drivers. In 2025, she advanced to the 125cc Rotax junior class, where she earned second place in the DFW Triple Champions series and recorded multiple podium finishes in the Texas Karting League.
This year, Sophia reached another milestone when she was invited to test a Formula 4 car at MSR Houston. During the two-day test, she finished within four seconds of the lap record and was later offered a seat with Box Motorsports for the 2027 season.
As a student at Lowery Freshman Center, Sophia balances her education with the time and commitment required to compete in motorsports. Her accomplishments are one example of the wide range of interests, talents and experiences Allen ISD students pursue both inside and outside the classroom.
As Sophia continues her freshman year in Allen ISD, she is also preparing for the next stage of her racing career and the opportunity to take another step forward in competitive motorsports.
