Allen Eagles Remain Undefeated with 70-3 Pink Out Win Over McKinney

The Allen Eagles returned to Eagle Stadium following their open week and continued their undefeated season, defeating the McKinney Lions 70-3 on Friday, Oct. 9.

Allen established control early, scoring 28 points in the opening quarter and adding another 28 in the second to take a 56-0 halftime lead. The Eagles added a touchdown in each of the final two quarters, while the defense held McKinney scoreless until a fourth-quarter field goal.

The evening also brought the Allen community together for Pink Out, recognizing breast cancer survivors and supporting those still battling the disease. For Allen High School Principal Carrie Jackson, that recognition made the game especially meaningful.

“Pink Out is always such a special game, first of all, because we have so many survivors of breast cancer who we want to honor, and those who are still battling it,” Jackson said. “And so it's really neat to see everybody come together for Pink Out and be a part of that.”

On the field, quarterback Ty Snell completed 10 of 13 passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Josyah Johnson caught three passes for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while Lyndon Spriggs added 84 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Jrue Simmons contributed three rushing touchdowns in the first half. Grant Abercrombie caught a touchdown pass, and KP Jackson added a rushing score before halftime. Julian Jackson capped Allen’s scoring with a 64-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Jackson also recognized the hard work students put into making each game night a success.

“Everybody is just performing at top, peak performance right now,” Jackson said. “It's really great to see all of that excellence surrounding this program, and it's just been so much fun.”

The Eagles left Pink Out night with a 6-0 record and a community united in support of a cause beyond the field. Allen’s next matchup was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15, against Prosper Rock Hill at 7 p.m. at Children’s Health Stadium in Prosper.
