The Allen High School girls' bowling team recently won the team state championship, marking the first bowling team state championship since 2009. Led by standout performances from Clara Campbell and freshman Madison Choi, the team dominated the competition.

The 16th Allen Eagle Run completed another successful year with 3,242 registered runners from 17 states participating.
The weather was perfect at the March 2 event with 1,645 participants in the 5K run. Another 883 completed the 1K Fun Run and Walk as 133 took part virtually and 585 enjoyed the sleep-in option with an entry fee donation.
“We also had 46 race sponsors, including title sponsor HEB, and more than 300 volunteers helping to make this another great year for the Eagle Run,” said Stacy Polk, the event organizer for the Foundation For Allen Schools.
Proceeds from the Eagle Run benefit the Foundation For Allen Schools and the Allen ISD Council of PTAs.











Students from Allen High School recently competed at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Competition in Round Rock.
Junior Avery Adams qualified for nationals in the Educators Rising Moment Competition, marking her third consecutive qualification but her first in this specific category.
Junior Callie Reavis won the Gold Award in the Portfolio Contest, the highest recognition for that competition.
Congratulations to these Allen High School students as they prepare for future careers in education.


The Allen High School swim program had several student-athletes qualify to compete at the UIL Swimming and Diving State Meet held Feb. 23-24 at UT-Austin. The Allen girls swim team earned 7th place overall at the meet, and Katelynn Zhou earned a silver medal in the 200 Yard Individual Medley. Congratulations to the swim program!



Norton Elementary School recently celebrated its World Culture Day with a student and parent parade around the campus and then special cultural performances in the gym. Activities wrap up in the evening with family booths, food, dances, live performances, and more!









Allen ISD Leadership Academy recently met at Lowery Freshman Center for an immersive exploration of the ninth-grade experience, led by Principal Jill Stafford. They also learned about the Dillard Special Achievement Center from Principal Dr. Tanisha Rogers.








Two teams from the Allen STEAM Center and Plano ISD competed in the NASA Hunch Culinary Preliminary Challenge to create dishes for astronauts to use during space travel.
The student teams were tasked with creating a “Savory Breakfast” that included a vegetable, met nutritional standards, and processed well for flight.
The Allen team of Ian Roach and William Hayden Collette created a Chickpea-Chorizo Frittata and Plano made a “Meat Lovers” omelet. Although the scoring was very close, the Plano team’s dish was the winner. Both recipes will be sent to NASA for further review and comparisons from other contests.
Judges included professional chefs and volunteers from Plano and Allen.






Sixth Graders at Vaughan Elementary recently gave informative presentations to their fellow students about the Chinese New Year, coupled with traditional dress, informative slides, and a question-and-answer time.

The Allen ISD Leadership Academy recently toured the newly renovated Chandler Elementary, then made their way to AHS to eat a meal prepared by students at Blu. Afterwards, they were led on a tour of the high school by students in the PALs Program.

The Silver Eagles were recently treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the Allen High School Theatre Department's production of Willy Wonka and a tour of the Performing Arts Center. Afterwards, they enjoyed a student-created lunch at the high school's Blú Bistro.






Lindsey Elementary sixth graders spent the morning touring Allen High School. The students heard directly from AHS PALS students to learn what they can expect and look forward to in their high school years. What a neat opportunity for students to begin envisioning their next educational steps!
