Chandler Elementary School recently held its annual Celebrate Me Disability Awareness Event, a tradition focused on fostering empathy and understanding among students. Held in the gym during Specials, the event featured hands-on activities that simulated a range of disabilities.
Through these interactive stations, students experienced the challenges some of their peers face daily. Activities were designed to build empathy, promote inclusion, and help students better understand how to support classmates with disabilities.
Celebrate Me has become a hallmark of Chandler’s commitment to creating an inclusive school environment. The event continues to play an important role in encouraging students to be thoughtful, supportive members of their community.
