Library materials are selected and acquired in accordance with guidelines adopted by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and the District standards expressed in Allen ISD Board Policy. Allen ISD’s processes for the selection and acquisition of library materials ensure that campus library collections support educational goals and reflect community values. Campus librarians use the collection development guidelines to create a list of book titles considered for purchase to enhance the library collections.
The Allen ISD community will have the opportunity to review and provide feedback on library book titles proposed for purchase. These library book titles are available for public review. Feedback will be collected September 4th through October 5th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
